Over the last few months, I've been drawn to books on the "giants" in my life. I first saw this book in the back of someone's car. The format was different: large paperback. I glanced through the paperback and knew I had to research and find my own copy. I found and ordered this version: hardback and small in size. The book was better than described (like new) in that it appeared to be new. Within a couple of days, I completed a quick review...noticing the impact of correctly identifying and addressing obstacles--big or small. I then began recommending this book to my friends. Due to its size, its easy to carry with you. I took mine to a doctor's office and it was quickly confiscated by a fellow church member. He was so impressed he is planning on teaching a group study series since the information is so timely in today's society (its them...not me). After hearing me discuss some of the chapters, several others have asked for the ordering information.
Great book for recovery! I would recomend this book for anybody struggleing with living or getting along with there fellows.

This book took quite a while to receive but it was in excellent condition. I'm pretty sure it was a used book and the price was great.

This is one of my very favorite books & I just wanted an inexpensive copy to keep on my book shelf...well...I am completely appalled at the condition of the book! albeit, being 'used' is one thing, but this book looks like it should've gone in the garbage. I would have never sent it to anyone!! The pages are tattered, the edges are extremely discolored, the binding is in very poor shape & the book smelled like someone's musty cellar when I took it out of the mailer. After the cost of the book & shipping, I so wished I would have never ordered it! Very disappointing! Is it returnable??? that's all I want to know. Otherwise this copy is going in my garbage can!
"Killing Giants, Pulling Thorns" by Charles Swindoll is one of the author's earlier titles. The titles is divided into 2 main areas:1. Giantkilling - Obstacles that can be very large and can stare at you face-to-face (fear, bitterness, jealousy, lust, grief, pain, depression, etc.).2. Thornpulling - Obstacles that tend to be smaller but if left alone, can grow and cause you to stumble (habits, cliches, superstition, busyness, impatience, expectations, comparison, etc.).The book is around 90 pages and consists of several 1-2 page devotionals on each topic. I have noticed that several of these devotionals have shown up in later Swindoll titles.A good and encouraging read. Recommended.
A series of short stories that give examples of different situations that we all face in life. The stories will give the reader an insight as to how to come to grips with different fears, troubles in life, and grief situations such as the death of loved ones.
